Here are some pictures from October 2014 – New Years. They are mostly of my travels around Thailand since 1. that is when I am with Carly and she always remembers to actually take pictures and 2. at my site I am usually busy trying to control a group of 30-40 kids so I definitely don’t have a chance to snap photos.
We hiked to the highest point in Thailand. Ironically this sign is before you go up a big hill to the actual highest point in Thailand that is marked with a square rock…seriously.
There is the rock. Not the statue behind it, which is there in honor of a previous king, but that small square stone. That’s it!
That’s me and a really big waterfall in Chiang Mai Province
We of course had to hike where you weren’t suppose to go so we could get this picture at the top of the waterfall
Looking at some rice. There is a lot of that here by the way
I was suppose to be looking at the rice fields and a local village, but really I just wanted to play with the puppies.
Playing Chairball against the students. Of course it is all about building skills and confidence, but just for the record my team crushed them 🙂
Getting my makeup done for the Loi Krathong Festival parade. I was made up to be a beautiful farmer
Helping during a village clean up
We went to the Hello Kitty Cafe in Bangkok and it is exactly what you would expect lol
Getting some awesome hugs from my first and second graders!
